30 th birthday cake

I made this for a friend of a friend.... my first time covering the cake board with fondant.... i think it made a big difference. all she asked for was the colour theme and the words flirty, thirty and thriving..... She said it was the best tasting and best looking cake she had. it's a white almond sour cream cake with buttercream with a blend of flavours ( almond, cheesecake mainly) fondant accents and ribbon. It was filled with an oreo buttercream center. I made cupcakes with the extra batter and they were fab. Sifting the cake mix seem to make a big difference.

1 box white cake mix( I like betty crocker)
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 and 1/3 cup water
4 eggs
1/3 cup canola oil
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond flavouring

grease and flour cake pans , heat oven to 325-350. mix dry ingredients with spoon, add wet ingredients and mix. bake until done inside.... test. if cake comes away from edges of pan it is usually is done/ overdone. keep testing.

Hey nice cake!! (Looks like you've got a little side line happening there.)
