I made caramel sauce in the crock pot today. I took a can of eagle brand sweetened condensed milk in the crock pot - covered it with water totally and simmered on low all day ( with the paper removed but the lid on.)
There is a danger of the can exploding so eagle brand doesn't recommend this lol... nothing like a little danger in cooking , i say
